Russians attack energy facilities in Chernihiv region, leaving many users without electricity

In Chernihiv and Nizhyn districts, most consumers were left without electricity due to shelling and hits on energy facilities.

This was reported on Telegram by Viacheslav Chaus, the Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.

"During the night, there were attacks by Geran drones on energy facilities in the Chernihiv and Nizhyn districts. There were some interceptions, but unfortunately, there were also hits. A significant number of users are without power," Chaus said.

He noted that energy workers are working to restore the power supply.

The Head of the Regional Military Administration also reported that late on Monday evening, Russian Geran drones hit the building of the village council in the village of Novhorod-Siverskyi. The building was damaged.

According to Chaus, over the past day, Russian troops fired on settlements in the Chernihiv region 27 times, with 67 explosions recorded.

As reported by Ukrinform, on December 27, an older woman was injured, and houses were damaged in the Chernihiv region as a result of attacks by the Russian Federation.
