Russian drone hits residential building in Konotop; one killed, one injured

The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, stated this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The deceased was a 44-year-old resident of the community. She was inside the house at the time of the Russian drone strike. Unfortunately, she could not be saved," he wrote.

A 16-year-old boy who was near the site of the strike was also injured. His life is not in danger, and he will receive outpatient treatment.

Hryhorov added that residential buildings and an educational institution were damaged as a result of the Russian attack. The extent of the destruction is being clarified. Relevant services are working at the scene.

As reported, earlier today in Sumy, Russian forces struck a children's hospital. Doctors and patients were in a shelter.
