Ukrainian assault unit deploys Abrams tank in combat for first time

Soldiers of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelia” of the Ukrainian Ground Forces have used an Abrams tank in a combat operation for the first time.

As reported by Ukrinform, the regiment’s press service announced this on Telegram and released a video showing the combat operation.

“The vehicle provided fire support for assault groups in Pokrovsk,” the statement said.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Australia has completed the delivery of M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks to Ukraine as part of its military assistance.
