Zelensky says there is shortage of missiles for specific air defense systems
The President made the remarks during a press conference in Brussels, Ukrinform reports.
“As for (…) air defense, certain missiles—I do not want to say out loud which ones—there is a shortage. There are some systems for which certain types of missiles are unavailable,” Zelensky noted.
He added that he discussed this issue with partners earlier today.
“Every day there are strikes. Every minute, something is hitting somewhere. This has to be intercepted. Therefore, partners either provide licenses, or provide missiles, or help with funding. We purchase them ourselves. There are no other options,” the President concluded.
As reported, according to the General Staff, over the past day alone, on December 17, the enemy carried out 42 air strikes, dropping 136 guided aerial bombs. The Russians also used 4,855 kamikaze drones. The Air Force reported that 63 out of 82 unmanned aerial vehicles launched by Russia since the evening of December 17 were neutralized.
