War update: 133 engagements on front line over past day, Defense Forces halt 29 assaults in Pokrovsk sector

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook regarding the situation as of 08:00 on Thursday, February 5.

The enemy carried out three missile strikes using three rockets and 96 airstrikes, dropping 246 guided bombs.

In addition, the Russians used 7,880 kamikaze drones for attacks and carried out 3,971 shellings, including 89 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

The Russian army conducted airstrikes in the areas of Pokrovske, Velykomykhailivka, and Mechetne in Dnipropetrovsk region; and Zelene, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Rizdvianka, and Komyshuvakha in Zaporizhzhia region.

Ukraine's missile troops and artillery struck three concentrations of enemy personnel, one UAV command post, two artillery guns, and one MLRS of the Russian invaders.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out four airstrikes, dropping 11 bombs, and conducted 91 shellings, including one with MLRS.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces attempted four times to break through defensive lines toward Prylipka, Vovchansk, Hrafske, and Vovchanski Khutory.

In the Kupiansk sector, there were five enemy attacks. The Defense Forces repelled assaults toward Kupiansk and Kindrashivka.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy conducted six attacks, attempting to breach defenses toward Drobysheve, Novoselivka, Stavky, and Lyman.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 13 enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Platonivka, Dronivka, and toward Zakitne, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Riznykivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy carried out two attacks near Vasiukivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy conducted 10 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Yablunivka, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Defense Forces stopped 29 assault actions by the Russian army in the areas of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Filiia, and toward Vilne.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy carried out three attacks in the areas of Zelenyi Hai and Sosnivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, 17 Russian attacks occurred in the areas of Solodke, Huliaipole, and toward Nove Zaporizhzhia and Zaliznychne.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack near Stepnohirsk.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy carried out two unsuccessful offensive actions.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of Russian offensive groupings were detected.

As Ukrinform previously reported, the total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to February 5, 2026, amount to approximately 1,243,840 personnel.
