Russia reports drone attack as tanker catches fire in Rostov port
That is according to the BBC News Russian, Ukrinform reports.
Rostov Mayor Alexander Skryabin said that a fire broke out on a tanker following a strike by Ukrainian drones.
According to him, the tanker was moored at a pier in the Western Residential District, where an oil loading port is located.
"An oil spill was prevented. Unfortunately, there are dead and injured," the mayor wrote.
Rostov Region Governor Yury Slyusаr said that drones attacked Rostov, Bataysk, and Taganrog during the night.

He also confirmed that a cargo vessel caught fire in the Rostov port as a result of the attack. Two crew members were killed and three others were wounded.
The Telegram channel Exilenova+ reported that the Russian tanker Valery Gorchakov was likely hit.
The vessel was built in 1969 as a dry cargo motor ship. In 2004, it was converted into an oil tanker designed to transport all types of petroleum products.
The Telegram channel Astra reported that Russia's Ministry of Defense claimed 47 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight.
On December 17, a drone attack in Russia's Krasnodar region caused a fire at an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban and left 38,800 consumers without power.
