AFU expanding logistical corridors as fierce urban fighting ongoing in Pokrovsk

Ukrinform
An operation by Ukraine’s Defense Forces to expand logistical corridors is ongoing in the Pokrovsk urban agglomeration.

According to Ukrinform, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces reported this on Telegram.

The enemy has become bogged down in urban combat for Pokrovsk and is unable to seize the town by force. As a result, Russian forces are attempting to intensify propaganda and disinformation, spreading fabricated claims about the alleged “capture of Pokrovsk,” both openly and covertly.

The situation in the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps remains difficult. The enemy is actively assaulting the northern part of Pokrovsk. Ukrainian troops continue to carry out their defensive tasks, holding back Russian advances.

“In certain areas, the enemy is attempting to operate near logistical routes. However, in these zones, the speed at which the enemy is eliminated is higher than the speed at which they can advance,” the Ukrainian military noted.

Logistics remain complicated but operational. The operation to expand logistical corridors is ongoing.

Despite intense fighting, Ukraine’s Defense Forces units in the Myrnohrad area have carried out several rotations of personnel over the past week.

Various components of the Defense Forces continue to be engaged in the defense of the Pokrovsk agglomeration — the Air Assault Forces, assault units, UAV units, Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the National Police.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue their defensive operation in Pokrovsk. Information published by the German outlet Bild claiming full Russian seizure of the town and that the “battle is over” is not true.
