One killed, 11 injured in Russian drone attack on Vyshhorod

A Russian drone attack in Vyshhorod, Kyiv region, has left one person dead and 11 injured, including a child.

Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Unfortunately, as a result of the enemy attack in Vyshhorod, one person has been killed and 11 injured. Among them is a child. Six people have been hospitalized," he wrote.

Rescuers are evacuating residents from an apartment building struck by the enemy. Firefighting efforts are ongoing.

The number of casualties may rise, Kalashnyk said.

"Medics and psychologists are working at the scene. All necessary assistance is being provided," the regional governor added.

The State Emergency Service clarified that the fire spread across apartments from the 1st to the 6th floor of a nine-story residential building.

"There have also been reports of fires and destruction of private homes, as well as damage to parked vehicles. Firefighting continues at one of the city's industrial facilities," rescuers said.
