Police explosive technicians have defused the explosive warhead of a Russian UAV that fell during the massive attack on November 19 near the epicenters of explosions in Ternopil.

The Ternopil Regional Police reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"The enemy attack drone of the Shahed type did not detonate after falling during yesterday's massive attack on Ternopil. A mobile team of the police explosive engineering service of the Ternopil region and the State Emergency Service immediately arrived to neutralize it.

Specialists determined that the thermobaric warhead of the drone was stuck in an opening, which complicated the removal of the damaged detonator," the report states.

Using special equipment, police explosive technicians together with DSNS pyrotechnicians safely removed the warhead. After that, the explosive elements were transported, with all safety precautions observed, to a designated location, where they were destroyed in a controlled detonation. This prevented new destruction and potential loss of life.

Police reminds citizens:

If you discover unexploded ordnance or any suspicious objects, do not approach them and do not attempt to move them.
