Ukraine plans to receive long-range target detection radars from Spain – Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this at a joint press conference with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Madrid on Tuesday, November 18, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Ukraine is starting to prepare a project to supply, in particular, long-range target detection radars, which could significantly strengthen us. We saw this today," Zelensky said.
He noted that he personally inspected samples of such Spanish defense products today.
"This Spanish-made equipment is absolutely unique, and we will try to implement it, to test it in real wartime conditions," Zelensky added.
Today in Madrid, Zelensky participated in a Spanish-Ukrainian technology meeting focused on developing defense cooperation. The meeting took place at the Indra Group enterprise with the participation of Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles.
Representatives of Spanish defense companies demonstrated to Zelensky the equipment they produce, including anti-drone systems, turrets, aerial and ground drones, long-range detection radars, and ammunition.
