Russian strikes cause drop in voltage in power grid, with possible power outages in Donetsk region
According to Ukrinform, the Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, reported this on Telegram.
"Today, power outages are possible in Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Druzhkivka. As a result of enemy strikes on infrastructure, the voltage level in the Donetsk region's power grid has decreased. To avoid emergencies, energy companies may restrict electricity supply to these cities," the head of the region wrote.
He noted that these restrictions will remain in effect until specialists eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
Filashkin called on everyone to save electricity and not overload the system.
As reported, on October 31, due to low voltage in the power grid, there was a temporary interruption in the centralized water supply in Sloviansk. In Kramatorsk, there was an emergency power outage.
