Seven people were injured in an overnight Russian drone attack on Kyiv.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said this in a Telegram post seen by Ukrinform.

"Seven people were injured in the capital following last night's enemy attack. Five have been hospitalized, and two are receiving outpatient treatment," he wrote.

Klitschko added that as a result of the attack and falling drone debris, fires broke out in three residential buildings in the Podilskyi district. Blast waves shattered windows in several buildings in different locations.

More than 40 windows were blown out in one local school, and part of the windows in a kindergarten were damaged. Several cars caught fire in residential courtyards, and debris also fell near a synagogue.

In the Obolonskyi district, he noted, windows in one residential building were damaged by the blast wave following the downing of a drone.

Air raid alerts were declared in Kyiv and several regions overnight due to the threat of drone attacks. Earlier reports indicated that drone debris fell in three locations in the Podilskyi district and in the Obolonskyi district during air defense operations.
