Russian forces strike power facility in Chernihiv region, leave 55,000 households without power

Russian forces on Sunday attacked an energy facility in the Koriukivka district, Chernihiv region, leaving nearly 55,000 consumers without power.

The regional utility company Chernihivoblenergo reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The Russians attacked an energy facility in the Koriukivka district. The damage is very severe. Nearly 55,000 consumers are without electricity," the company said.

It added that repair crews would begin emergency restoration work as soon as the security situation allows.

On October 18, Russian forces shelled 17 settlements in the Chernihiv region 46 times.
