Aftermath of Russian attacks on Ukrainian rail network
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Overnight, Russia once again struck at Ukraine’s civilian population. In Balakliia, Kharkiv region, 15 people were injured, including a 4-year-old girl. In Odesa, the enemy hit a Ukrzaliznytsia depot — a train driver was injured, and infrastructure was damaged. In Konotop, Sumy region, attacks on railway infrastructure disrupted passenger services,” the Prime Minister said.

She emphasized that “the Russians deliberately target children, civilian facilities, residential buildings, railways, and energy infrastructure in an attempt to paralyze the life of our cities.”
“They will not succeed in depriving us of heat and light,” Svyrydenko stressed.
She thanked emergency and railway services for their swift response and rapid repair efforts.

As Ukrinform reported, overnight on October 2, Russian forces launched a massive strike on a Ukrzaliznytsia depot in Odesa, injuring a train driver.
