Russians strike civil infrastructure with drone in Sumy region, kill one person

In the Shostka district of the Sumy region, Russians struck civilian infrastructure with a drone, killing a 60-year-old woman - an investigation has been launched.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“According to the investigation, on September 29, 2025, at around 3:00 p.m., the occupiers attacked civilian infrastructure with a drone in the Shalyhyne community of the Shostka district. As a result of the enemy attack, a 60-year-old woman was injured and died in the hospital,” the post says.

A pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the commission of war crimes that resulted in the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops carried out 92 strikes on 41 settlements in the Sumy region over the past day, resulting in casualties.
