Russian occupation forces are concentrating assault groups in the area of the settlement of Dachi on the left bank of Kherson region, attempting to seize strategically important positions near the Antonivskyi bridges.

This was reported on television by Vladyslav Voloshyn, Spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, according to Ukrinform.

“At the moment, the enemy is concentrating a certain number of assault groups in the settlement of Dachi, which lies on the route from Oleshky to the Antonivskyi bridge. The Defense Forces of Ukraine are firmly holding positions near the bridges, but the enemy wants to capture this part because it is the narrowest section of the Dnipro river,” Voloshyn said.

He explained that in this sector the distance between the banks is about 700–800 meters. If Ukrainian units were pushed out, Russian occupiers could deploy certain types of weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles there, set up launch sites, and use them to strike effectively at the right bank while controlling the so-called main channel of the Dnipro.

“The enemy is trying with all its strength to conduct assault operations here and take control of our positions, but it is failing,” Voloshyn emphasized.

Voloshyn also noted that in the occupied part of Kherson region, Russian forces are completing troop rotations and redeploying assault units to intensify attacks. Their main goal is to gain control of the island area, particularly the positions near the Antonivskyi bridges, which they attempt to storm almost daily.
