Two firefighters wounded in Chernihiv region while clearing up after shelling
According to Ukrinform, the Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, reported this on Telegram.
"In the community of the Nizhyn district, the enemy targeted a critical infrastructure facility. Two firefighters were wounded and hospitalized. This is the second time in a week that the Russians have resorted to blatant terrorist practices in the Chernihiv region: they strike, then strike again, waiting for rescuers to arrive to deal with the consequences of the shelling," Chaus wrote.
He also reported that Chernihiv was attacked by strike drones, which caused damage to the infrastructure.
In total, 54 strikes on 18 settlements in the region were recorded during the day. Most of the attacks were carried out by FPV drones – 26 cases. Settlements in the Semenivka, Novhorod-Siverskyi, and Snovsk communities were shelled. Houses were damaged after strikes in Semenivka and Snovsk.
As reported by Ukrinform, on September 19, one person was killed and eight were wounded, including three medics, as a result of enemy attacks in the Chernihiv region over the past day.
