General Staff: Ammunition blast on train causes railway damage in Kyiv region

On the night of Sunday, September 14, ammunition detonated on a train carrying military cargo in the Kyiv region.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported to Suspilne by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

There were no casualties among the personnel. Traffic on the railway tracks was stopped, and three train cars were uncoupled.

The consequences of the detonation continue to be eliminated at the site. The General Staff added that the cause will be determined by an investigation and an official inspection.

As reported by Ukrinform, Public JSC Ukrainian Railways Ukrzaliznytsia changed several routes due to damage to infrastructure in the Kyiv region caused by the emergency.

Earlier, information appeared on social media that loud explosions were heard in the Kyiv region.

According to the Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, as a result of the emergency in the Kyiv region, which led to damage to the railway infrastructure, three women needed medical help.

Due to the repair of damage to the railway infrastructure in the Kyiv region, some trains will run on detour routes, which may cause delays of 2-3 hours.
