Number of attacks in Sumy region decreases, enemy deploys troops to other areas
According to Ukrinform, this was stated on television by State Border Guard Service spokesman Andriy Demchenko.
"Our units in the Sumy region, specifically in the sectors of the Khotin and Yunakivka communities where the enemy is still conducting active operations with small infantry groups, have observed a significant decrease in the number of enemy attacks. This decline is notable compared to the earlier period when the enemy was attempting to advance deeper into our territory in this area," Demchenko said.
According to him, the enemy is gradually withdrawing its accumulated forces from this sector and redeploying them, in particular, to the south.
The spokesman added that the head of the State Border Guard Service, Serhiy Deineko, recently visited the Sumy Border Guard Detachment units and the Steel Border Brigade. Deineko acknowledged the situation and commended those who showed incredible resilience in battles with the enemy.
As reported by Ukrinform, in the Sumy community, as a result of an attack by Russian strike drones, hits on critical and industrial infrastructure were recorded, and a civilian was injured.
