Russian drone strikes vehicle carrying humanitarian aid in Kharkiv region

In Vovchansk community of Kharkiv region, a Russian drone struck a vehicle delivering humanitarian aid to a frontline settlement.

This was reported on Telegram by the Kharkiv Regional Police, according to Ukrinform.

“On August 26, around 8:15, Russian forces directed an enemy drone at a vehicle carrying civilians delivering humanitarian aid to a frontline settlement,” the statement reads.

The police noted that two people suffered acute stress reactions, and the vehicle (a VAZ) was damaged.

An investigative and operational team, explosives experts, and forensic specialists were sent to the scene to document the crime.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for a war crime.

Previously, Ukrinform reported that on August 25 four settlements in Kharkiv region came under Russian attacks, leaving one person injured.
