Russian strikes leave miners trapped underground in Donetsk region

In Donetsk region, Russian shelling has caused a power outage at mines in Dobropillia community, leaving 148 miners trapped underground.

This was reported on Facebook by Mykhailo Volynets, Head of the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

“As a result of Russian shelling, mines in Dobropillia community have lost power. 148 miners remain underground,” Volynets stated.

Previously, Ukrinform reported that on August 25, Russian forces killed one resident of Donetsk region and injured six others.
