Pilot of the MiG-29 killed after completing combat mission

On the night of August 23, after completing a combat mission, the pilot of the MiG-29 fighter aircraft, Major Serhii Bondar, died during the approach to landing.
According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports this in Telegram.
"On the night of August 23, 2025, after completing a combat mission during an approach to landing, the pilot of the MiG-29 fighter aircraft, Major Serhii Bondar, born in 1979, was killed", the message reads.
The causes and circumstances of the catastrophe are being established.
The Air Force expressed its condolences to the pilot's relatives and friends.
As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of June 29, Russia launched a massive missile-drone attack on Ukraine. During its recapture, the Ukrainian F-16 plane was damaged; pilot 1st class Maksym Ustymenko was killed.
