One killed, one injured as Russian forces shell Bilozerka in Kherson region

This was reported on Telegram by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, according to Ukrinform.

“According to the investigation, on August 20, 2025, at approximately 11:45, Russian armed forces shelled the town of Bilozerka in the Kherson district,” the statement reads.

It is noted that the attack resulted in the death of a 39-year-old man and injuries to a woman.

Under the procedural guidance of the Oleshky District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime that led to the death of a civilian.

As Ukrinform previously reported, at around 06:30 on August 20, Russian occupiers also shelled Bilozerka. A woman born in 1955 sustained a blast injury and abdominal wounds as a result of the attack.
