Less than 1,000 residents remain in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region, following Russian shelling that has destroyed critical infrastructure beyond repair.

This was announced on television by Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, as reported by an Ukrinform correspondent.

“According to our information, a month ago there were 1,200–1,300 people there, but now there are 991. There is no centralized water supply on either the right or left bank, so we are providing water deliveries where we can. There is no electricity or gas supply. Critical infrastructure has suffered catastrophic damage, and there is no way to restore it because the enemy is targeting civilians, repair crews, State Emergency Service units, and police with FPV drones,” said Syniehubov.
