754 people evacuated from Korabel Microdistrict in Kherson

As of Tuesday evening, August 5, 754 people, including 49 children and 85 persons with reduced mobility, were evacuated from the Korabel Microdistrict in Kherson.

According to Ukrinform, Yaroslav Shanko, the Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.

"The evacuation from the Korabel Microdistrict has been going on for four days. As of 6 p.m. today, 334 people have been evacuated from the Ostriv Microdistric with the help of the police, rescue workers, and volunteers. Among them are 15 children and 44 persons with reduced mobility. A total of 754 people (49 children and 85 people with reduced mobility) have been evacuated from the dangerous area," Shanko said.

According to him, people are being taken to an evacuation point, where social workers are helping them obtain internally displaced person status and find shelter. The temporary shelters are equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Hot meals are provided. Representatives of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society are providing necessary medical assistance as needed.

Shanko thanked all services and volunteers for their coordinated work.

The Head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration urges residents of the Korabel Microdistrict to evacuate temporarily and not to endanger themselves and their loved ones.

As reported by Ukrinform, on August 2, the Russian army dropped two guided bombs on Kherson, resulting in damage to a road bridge leading to the Korabel Microdistrict.
