Russian strike on Smila injures 11, damages civilian infrastructure

Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Head Ihor Taburets said this in a post on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.

"Eleven individuals have sought medical assistance following the missile and drone strike. Two of them are children, and all are receiving the necessary care," Taburets stated.

Emergency teams are working at the scene to assess and eliminate the consequences of the latest Russian attack. Preliminary reports confirm that three nine-story apartment buildings, multiple private homes, and several cars sustained severe damage. At least four educational institutions and a psychiatric hospital were impacted. The educational building of the National University of Food Technologies’ local college—where junior bachelors had just graduated the day before—was almost completely destroyed.

Assessment commissions are continuing their on-site inspections.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, the Regional Military Administration had earlier confirmed that six people, including a child, were injured in the missile and drone strike on Smila, Cherkasy region. The attack also damaged three nine-story apartment buildings and a local college.
