During the night attack, Russia launched 219 strike drones at Ukraine, most of which were Shahed drones, as well as 25 missiles, 24 of which were ballistic. Two people were killed, and more than ten were wounded.

According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on Telegram.

“Repair crews and first responders have been working since last night at the sites of Russian strikes. During the night, 219 attack drones were launched, a significant number of them ‘shaheds,’ along with 25 missiles, 24 of them ballistic. Most of them were successfully intercepted, but regrettably not all. As of now, two people have been reported killed in this attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones. More than ten people have been injured,” he wrote.

Zelensky noted that the main target of the strike was energy facilities in Kyiv, Odesa, and Dnipro, including power plants and substations. There is damage in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kyiv, and Kherson regions. At the same time, a drone struck a State Emergency Service building in Kramatorsk.

“The situation in the capital is difficult — many buildings remain without heating,” he stated.

The president stressed that there should be more protection against these strikes.

“The most effective defense against Russian ballistic missiles is Patriot systems, and missiles for these systems must be supplied every single day. I thank all the countries contributing to the PURL initiative. Everything currently available in the program regarding air defense must be delivered faster. I am grateful to the leaders who understand this and are helping,” Zelensky emphasized.

As reported by Ukrinform, as a result of a combined Russian missile and drone attack on Thursday night, February 12, nearly 2,600 high-rise buildings in Kyiv were left without heating.
