AFU conducting maneuverable defense, counterattacking when possible – military

Ukrinform
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are currently conducting maneuverable defense on the battlefield and counterattacking when possible.

This was stated on a television broadcast by Spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

"We are conducting maneuverable defense, and when the opportunity arises, we counterattack and carry out small-scale offensive actions, for example, in other directions. The Commander-in-Chief (Syrskyi – ed.) has also reported on this, stating that we have liberated certain settlements and pushed the enemy back from some positions," he said.

The Spokesperson noted that it is difficult for the Russians to deploy personnel of assault groups and the means for conducting assaults to front-line positions.

"So, when we engage in active defense, we prevent them from doing so," Voloshyn added.
