
Russian drone strikes in Kharkiv region leave two dead, three injured
According to Ukrinform, Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, wrote this on Facebook.
The Russian military struck the region using guided aerial bombs, UAVs—including Geran-2 and Molniya UAVs—as well as Shahed drones and FPV drones.
In Kupiansk, two women, aged 84 and 58, were killed in the strikes. A 60-year-old man and two women, aged 76 and 68, sustained injuries.
The attacks also caused extensive damage in the Kupiansk district, affecting 39 private homes, an enterprise, a service station, a shop, and two vehicles. Additionally, power lines were damaged in the Bohodukhiv district, while a civilian enterprise was hit in the Kharkiv district.
Syniehubov reported that Russian forces carried out six attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Kharkiv sector, near Vovchansk, Stroivka, and Krasne Pershne.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops attacked Ukraine’s Defense Forces 21 times near Ridkodub, Zelena Dolyna, Novyi Myr, and in the areas of Hrekivka, Lipove, Torske, and Serebrianskyi Forest.
As Ukrinform previously reported, on May 25, Russian forces dropped a FAB-500 bomb on a house in Kupiansk.
