Russia’s war casualty toll in Ukraine up by 1,170 over past day

As of April 25, 2025, the total estimated combat losses of Russian forces in the war against Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, amount to approximately 946,500 personnel, including 1,170 troops lost over the past 24 hours.

This was reported on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

Additionally, Russian losses include: 10,703 (+9) tanks, 22,315 (+3) armored fighting vehicles (AFVs), 26,895 (+72) artillery systems, 1,372 (+3) multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 1,144 (+3) air defense systems, 370 (+0) aircraft, 335 (+0) helicopters, 33,779 (+119) tactical-level UAVs, 3,196 (+48) cruise missiles, 28 (+0) warships / boats, 1 (+0) submarines, 45,906 (+151) vehicles and fuel tankers, 3,860 (+0) units of special equipment.

These figures are being updated as new data becomes available.

As previously reported, as of 22:00 on April 24, there were 133 combat engagements between Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops.
