An elderly man died in the Kherson region as a result of artillery shelling of the city of Beryslav.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
“According to the investigation, on April 18, 2025, at approximately 06:00 am, the Russian military attacked Beryslav with artillery,” the report says.
As noted, as a result, a 70-year-old local resident sustained life-threatening injuries. At the time of the shelling, the man was in his house.
Under the procedural guidance of the Beryslav Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime that caused the death of a person has been launched.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops struck 44 settlements in Kherson region yesterday, killing four people and injuring 25 others, including a child.
