Ukrainian Air Force strikes Pogar border checkpoint used as launch site for Russian UAVs

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the strike on Facebook.

"As a result of the strike, the military infrastructure of the checkpoint was destroyed, including communications and electronic warfare equipment, the video surveillance system, and other technical facilities. Preliminary reports indicate that between 15 and 40 Russian invaders were eliminated," the statement reads.

The General Staff emphasized that the airstrike was a response to the cynical actions of the aggressor state, Russia, which continues to terrorize Ukraine with daily launches of dozens of attack drones, targeting civilian infrastructure, destroying residential buildings, and killing Ukrainian citizens.

"The Pogar location had repeatedly been used for launching Russian UAVs. The destruction of this checkpoint reduces the enemy's combat potential against Ukrainian Defense Forces units in Sumy region and along the Kursk direction," the General Staff highlighted.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s Defense Forces also struck and destroyed the command and observation post of the 9th Motor Rifle Regiment of the 18th Motor Rifle Division near Viktorivka-Uspenivka in Russian territory.
