Russian troops shell Pokrovsk, killing two civilians
This was reported on Facebook by the Prosecutor's Office of Donetsk region, Ukrinform reports.
“In Pokrovsk, the Russian military killed two civilians - an investigation has been launched... The type of weapon used by the enemy army to attack the city is being established,” the statement said.
The prosecutor's office clarified that on March 22, 2025, at 13:30, the troops of the aggressor state once again fired on Pokrovsk, killing a 41-year-old man on the street in one of the residential areas.
In addition, a 66-year-old resident of the town was injured while she was near her house. Her injuries were incompatible with life - she died during the evacuation from the scene.
Under the procedural supervision of the Pokrovsk District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated in the criminal proceedings over a war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As reported, Russian troops killed two civilians and wounded nine others in Donetsk region on March 21.
