Kyiv City Administration reveals number of shelters in each district of Kyiv

The largest number of shelters is located in Darnytskyi district of Kyiv.

That is according to the response from the Department of Municipal Safety of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) to an information request from Ukrinform.

“There are 4,300 civil defense shelters in Kyiv. The breakdown by district is as follows: Holosiivskyi – 493 shelters, Darnytskyi – 580 shelters, Desnianskyi – 290 shelters, Dniprovskyi – 530 shelters, Obolonskyi – 468 shelters, Pecherskyi – 341 shelters, Podilskyi – 272 shelters, Sviatoshynskyi – 517 shelters, Solomianskyi – 458 shelters, Shevchenkivskyi – 350 shelters,” the comment reads.

It is also noted that 3,788 shelters are available to the public, and additional 512 objects serve as storage facilities.

As reported, the construction of 37 dual-purpose buildings continues in Kyiv. In case of emergencies, these will serve as shelters for students, teachers, and residents.
