Ukrainian troops carrying out their tasks in Kursk region – Zelensky

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a briefing, as reported by a Ukrinform correspondent.

"Our troops are carrying out their tasks in Kursk region. The Russians are definitely trying to put maximum pressure on our forces. The military command is doing what it should, preserving the maximum number of our soldiers' lives," he said.

According to Zelensky, the Ukrainian government is aware of what the Russian side will be demonstrating in the coming days.

"I think the issue is not even that they are escalating in the Kursk direction. They will be trying to intimidate us. I suppose, even with nuclear threats. We need to understand that this is a known strategy of Russia in any diplomatic format," he added.

The President emphasized that it is important to look at the situation soberly and respond both to informational threats and to real ones.

"Of course, people should not be in an information vacuum, and our intelligence, our military, and the Ministry of Defense need to react as quickly as possible to debunk any information, whether threats or not. But we must prepare for strong informational pressure. Believe me, we have been in such situations of various formats for a long time. We understand what is happening," he said.

As reported earlier, operators from the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces cleaned up Russian positions in Kursk region and eliminated eight invaders.
