Over more than 35 months of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has damaged or destroyed 2,285 healthcare facilities in the country.

That's according to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"As of mid-February 2025, the enemy has damaged 1,984 healthcare facilities and completely destroyed 301. The most significant damage occurred in hospitals in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Complete information on the extent of destruction in healthcare facilities in temporarily occupied areas is currently unavailable," the statement said.

The Ministry of Health reported that Russian forces had damaged 240 emergency medical vehicles, destroyed 273, and seized 80 ambulances.

However, with the support of Ukraine's international partners, the restoration of the healthcare infrastructure is ongoing. To date, 594 healthcare facilities have been fully restored, and 370 have been partially restored. The most restoration work has been done in the Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions. These are primarily facilities in areas liberated from occupation or those that suffered minor damage, such as broken windows, roof destruction, or facade damage. The restoration of healthcare facilities will continue.
