Ukrainian forces shoot down 95 drones overnight, 46 veer off course

Ukraine's air defense forces shot down 95 Shahed-type attack UAVs, while 46 enemy decoy drones veered off course and failed to reach their targets.

The Ukrainian Air Force Command announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"As of 09:00, 95 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones were confirmed shot down over the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions. Additionally, 46 enemy decoy drones disappeared from radar, without negative consequences," the statement reads.

The Air Force noted that in total, during the night leading into Sunday, February 16, the enemy launched 143 Shahed-type attack drones and decoy UAVs from Oryol, Bryansk, and Shatalovo (Russia), as well as two ballistic missiles targeting the Odesa region from temporarily occupied Crimea.

The air assault was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Ukraine's Defense Forces.

The Kyiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions suffered damage as a result of the enemy attack.
