Ukrainian forces down 85 Russian drones, 52 lost from tracking

Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed 85 drones launched by the Russian forces overnight, while 52 other enemy UAV decoys were lost in flight without causing any negative consequences.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, as cited by Ukrinform.

According to the statement, starting from 20:00 on February 12, the Russian forces launched a total of 140 Shahed-type kamikaze drones and various UAV decoys from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Ukraine’s aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, and mobile fire groups all worked together to repel the attack.

By 9:00 on Thursday, 85 enemy Shahed drones and other UAVs had been confirmed destroyed over Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odesa regions.

Meanwhile, 52 Russian UAV decoys failed to reach their targets.

As a result of the attack, Odesa and Kharkiv regions sustained damage.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that several groups of Russian drones attacked Ukraine overnight on February 13, triggering air raid alerts across multiple regions.
