Ukrinform
The Lithuanian Defense Ministry has ordered Patria 6x6 armored personnel carriers for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

That's according to Delfi, Ukrinform reports.

"These Latvian-made armored vehicles will be handed over to Ukrainian defenders by the end of this year. We will not only support Ukraine in its fight against the occupiers but also assess the performance and durability of the armored vehicles in real combat conditions, which will allow the National Armed Forces to draw valuable conclusions," said Lithuanian Defense Minister Andris Spruds said.

The delivery of the armored vehicles to Ukraine will not affect the volume or timelines of the previously placed order for the Latvian army.

According to the Lithuanian Defense Ministry, as part of an intergovernmental cooperation program between Finland, Latvia, Sweden, and Germany, on August 30, 2021, Riga signed a joint agreement to purchase Patria 6x6 armored personnel carriers, which includes an order for over 200 armored vehicles.
