
Sumy region’s border areas come under enemy fire 21 times
The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Over the past day, Russians have launched 21 attacks on the Sumy region’s border areas and settlements. Seventy-four explosions were recorded. The enemy shelling affected such communities as Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Myropillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Esman, Znob-Novhorodske, Seredyna-Buda, and Svesa,” the report states.
In particular, Russian troops struck the Bilopillia community with mortars (15 explosions) and artillery (10 explosions).
In the Esman community, the enemy opened fire with machine guns and mortars (two explosions).
In the Krasnopillia community, Russians launched artillery (10 explosions) and mortar strikes (two explosions). The enemy also launched a drone attack with Shahed loitering munitions.
In the Myropillia community, Russian invaders launched an anti-tank guided missile strike (one explosion).
In the Nova Sloboda community, Russian troops dropped three mortar bombs (three explosions).
The Znob-Novhorodske community was affected by enemy artillery strikes (three explosions).
The Seredyna-Buda community was struck by Russian artillery (five explosions).
Additionally, Russians shelled the Svesa community and the Velyka Pysarivka community with artillery (six and eight explosions respectively).
