A Russian missile was shot down over Ukraine’s Kirovohrad region, in the Kropyvnytskyi district, on Tuesday.
That’s according to the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration chief, Andriy Raikovych, who posted the news on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"An enemy missile attack. The air defense system engaged the target. The missile was shot down over the Kropyvnytskyi district," the statement reads.
The reports about the consequences of the debris hitting the ground is being verified, Raikovych added.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine’s air defense units intercepted seven Shahed one-way attack drones overnight Tuesday.
