Mandatory evacuation of children announced in eight settlements of Donetsk region

Mandatory evacuation of children has been announced in eight settlements of Donetsk region due to the critical security situation.

The Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine said this in a statement, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, at a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters on Mandatory Evacuation, the decision of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration to announce forced evacuation of about 250 children was unanimously supported. It will be carried out from eight settlements of Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts, where the security situation remains critical," the ministry said.

It is noted that thanks to the coordinated actions of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, the support of the National Police and the State Emergency Service, 41 children have already been taken to safer regions.

As reported by Ukrinform, police officers evacuated all children from 12 frontline settlements of Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts of Donetsk region.
