Russians shell Kupiansk, wounding three civilians
This was reported on Facebook by Oleh Syniehubov, the chief of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform saw.
“Today at about 7:00, the enemy fired at the town of Kupiansk. Residential buildings were hit, three people were injured. A teenage girl, 15, and a woman, 63, were hospitalized in grave condition. A teenage boy, 17, is in moderate condition,” the official wrote on social media.
He added that on Saturday, at about 22:15, Russian forces employed an S-300 surface-to-air missile system to hit a Nova Poshta postal operator’s logistical terminal in the village of Korotych, Kharkiv district. The terminal was obliterated and a fire broke out. Six people were killed and 16 were injured. Two of them are in extremely grave condition, six – in severe condition, and the rest sustained light and moderate injuries.
According to the official, yesterday, the enemy fired at the settlements across the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Izium, and Kupiansk districts.
Last day, the State Emergency Service bomb squads inspected over 14 hectares of land in Kharkiv, neutralizing 91 explosive objects.
Fierce battles continue in the Kupiansk direction where Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 enemy assaults in the area of Synkivka and Ivanivka, allowing no Russian advance.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, eight launches of S-300 missiles were recorded from Russian territory and the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk region.
