
MFA: Number of Ukrainians killed in Israel rises to seven
"The number of Ukrainians killed in Israel has risen to seven. The consuls established their personal data, are in contact with their relatives and take measures to repatriate the bodies," Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko posted on Facebook.
According to his data, nine Ukrainian citizens received injuries of various degrees of severity, nine more Ukrainians are considered missing.
"The Ukrainian embassy cooperates with the Israeli security services in the context of the search for missing persons," Nikolenko stressed.
As of October 11, the death of three Ukrainians was confirmed.
On the morning of October 7, the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas launched an attack on Israel. Militants broke into the country, simultaneously launching a massive rocket attack.
Currently, it is known about 1,300 people killed and about 3,300 injured. The fate of 150 people abducted and taken to the Gaza Strip is unknown.
Israel officially declared a state of war and mobilized 300,000 reservists to respond to the terrorist attack.
The USA, the EU, Ukraine and many other countries condemned the attack on Israel.
