Drone attack on Romny school: Two killed, four injured

The number of citizens injured in Romny, Sumy region, following a Russian attack has grown to four.

The press service of the National Police of Ukraine posted this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"In Romny, Russians destroyed a school and killed at least two educators. There is information that two more employees of the institution may be under the rubble. Four people, who were near the place of the attack, were injured. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the report says.

Law enforcement officers, rescuers and medics continue to work at the scene, and the headquarters for liquidation of the consequences has been deployed.

A search and rescue operation is underway.

As reported, a Russian drone hit an educational institution on Wednesday morning. The school was completely destroyed.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that in Romny following the Russian drone attack, at least two people were killed, three more were injured, and people were trapped under the rubble.
