Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush joins Air Assault Forces

The 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush has been withdrawn from the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and transferred to the Air Assault Forces.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Assault Forces announced this on Telegram.

"In implementation of the decision of the joint directive of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush has been transferred from the Ground Forces to the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the statement reads.

As noted by the Air Assault Forces, "The 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush is a powerful combat formation with a considerable and distinguished combat history, hardened in the battles of the Russian-Ukrainian war."

"The personnel of the Jaeger Brigade - the 'Rosomakhas' - have repeatedly demonstrated a high level of professionalism, resilience, heroism, and initiative, achieving significant successes and results in the hottest sectors of the front. The brigade possesses substantial combat potential, well-earned authority, and a strong combat reputation," the Air Assault Forces emphasized.

The Air Assault Forces stated: "We are sincerely pleased to welcome the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush into our combat airborne family. We are firmly convinced that its combat experience, strength of spirit, and professionalism will organically strengthen the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

As Ukrinform previously reported, starting January 1, 2026, the 427th Separate Regiment 'Rarog' of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was granted brigade status.
