Revision of public transport fares in the capital is possible only with the post-war development of all sectors of the city's life, including public transport.

Ruslan Kandybor, director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration, said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports, citing the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.

"The issue of revising public transport fares in Kyiv is possible only after our Victory and the start of restoration and development of all spheres of the city's life, including public transport. The mayor's clear position is not to raise fares, and so is mine," Kandybor emphasized.

In his opinion, fares should be raised only in the context of the city's rapid postwar development.

At the same time, the head of the department appealed to media representatives to take a balanced approach to the interpretation of sensitive topics for society.

As reported, Kyivpastrans has launched a non-cash payment option for fares for fare evasion in the capital's public transport.
