Russians shell border area of Sumy region five times today

Russian troops shelled the border area of Sumy region five times on Saturday, August 12, targeting four territorial communities.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"49 explosions were recorded. The communities of Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Novoslobidske, and Znob-Novhorodske came under fire," the administration said.

It is noted that the invaders attacked the region with mortars.

There were four explosions in Krasnopillia community and one in Novoslobidske. 35 explosions were recorded in Znob-Novhorodske community as the enemy launched mortar attacks. The Russians dropped nine mines on Bilopillia community.

According to preliminary data, there were no casualties among the civilian population or damage to the civilian infrastructure.

As reported by Ukrinform, on August 11, the Russian forces attacked the border area of Sumy region nine times with various types of weapons. Six territorial communities came under enemy fire.
