
Rescuers show consequences of Shahed attack on children's camp in Sumy
"In Sumy, rescuers were eliminating the consequences of night enemy strikes. On the night of July 20, rescuers received information that enemy strikes were launched on the regional center, leading to the destruction of buildings and subsequent fire in the territory of one of the children's camps. After assessing the situation, the State Emergency Service employees immediately began to put out the identified fires burning. At the same time, an inspection of the damaged buildings took place," the Sumy Region Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine posted on Telegram.
According to preliminary information, no people were found under the rubble.
A total of 19 rescuers and 7 units of equipment of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine worked at the scene.
As reported, three Shahed drones attacked Sumy at night – one of them was shot down, the second was hit, and the third struck an institution of extracurricular education. As a result of the attack, a nurse was injured, she was given medical aid.
