
Russian army shells Zaporizhzhia's suburbs last night
Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Yuriy Malashko said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"At night, the Russian military attacked the neighborhood of the regional center. Fortunately, there were no casualties. The hit occurred in an open area, and this saved from significant destruction and human casualties," the statement said.
It is noted that on the previous day, the enemy carried out 98 attacks on 24 settlements of Zaporizhzhia region: the aircraft attacked Orikhiv and Levadne, twice attacked Stepnohirsk from a UAV, struck 5 MLRS attacks on Chervone, Huliaipole, Temyrivka, carried out 88 artillery strikes on Chervonodniprovka, Huliaipole, Novodarivka, Bilohiria, Piatykhatky and other frontline villages.
So far, 27 civilian objects have been destroyed or damaged, including houses, outbuildings and other property of residents.
The military administration noted that a 55-year-old man from Mala Tokmachka and a 70-year-old resident of Huliaipole was killed as a result of the shelling.
As Ukrinform reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped the Russian offensive at the Kupiansk and Lyman directions.
